Research Tool is operational intelligence and guidance for humans and agents, built on durable evidence.

Every kind of evidence — documents, data, streams, media, human and agent judgments — continuously rendered into a live picture of operational reality. Every frame traces back to source.

The problem we’re solving

In complex environments, good decisions need two things at once: a rich, current picture of what is happening — messy, multimodal, constantly changing — and a durable record of what was known, decided, and done. Those are different data shapes. Dashboards give you the view but lose the trail; records preserve the trail but lose the view.

Using agents in complex environments make this split impossible to ignore. They consume the operational picture and contribute to the audit record at the same instant; neither holds up unless both are backed by the same evidence. Agents are stateless, cannot be interviewed, and can hallucinate. Their claims and actions must be checked at write-time, against rules that are themselves durable evidence.

Research Tool delivers both operational intelligence and operational guidance including facts, judgments, and authorizations, on one evidence layer, with every operational view and every agent action rebuildable from it without breaking the chain of proof.

What Research Tool does

Consider how Pixar movies are made: multiple teams designing digital puppets, movements, textures, colors, etc., all defined in math. These billions of separate data points are combined and rendered into a movie you can watch. Research Tool does something similar, but for operational reality. Every kind of evidence - documents, data, streams, media, model outputs, human and agent judgments — flows into a durable, evolving foundation, like a flight recorder. From that foundation, the views humans and agents need to act are continuously rendered; what’s true now, what changed, what rules apply, who decided what, what was done. The render never stops, and every frame traces back to the evidence that produced it.

Project status

Research Tool is in an intermediate stage with robust infrastructure proven at scale. Our first MVP customers and public demos are expected in summer 2026. See Architecture for more information.
